REGISTER ONLINE FOR 2016 SWIM LESSONS

 

HOW TO REGISTER:

 

  1. Read through the class descriptions and decide which class best fits your child’s swimming ability.

  2. Look at the session dates and times to decide which class best fits your summer schedule.

  3. Register Online through PAYPAL. We do accept check or money order through mail and cash must be made in our office located at 351 B Columbia Memorial Pkwy, Kemah, TX 77565.

  4. Forms and Payments must be received by 5pm on the Thursday before classes begin. Once we have received the payment you will receive a confirmation email to confirm your registration. On the Friday before class begins you will receive an additional email confirming class. No late registration will be accepted.

  5. For Insurance Purposes only, Gulf Coast Aquatics, Inc. only offers swim lessons to the communities we manage, listed on the locations page.

 

Additional Information:

  • Each class has a minimum of 6 participants with the exception of Minnows with a minimum of 4 participants. If registration does not have enough participants, it is a possibility that your class will be cancelled. Gulf Coast Aquatics, Inc. will contact you via email to confirm or cancel the class on or before Friday before classes begin.
  • You should come to your pool for lessons even on rainy days unless contacted by the Gulf Coast Aquatics, Inc. office or your instructor prior to the start of class. If class has to be canceled, you will be offered 1 Make up class. NO REFUNDS are given for weather and makeup days.
  • The Aquatics Director has sole decision-making authority regarding refunds and rescheduling and will handle any special situations on a case by case basis.
Private Lessons:
Cater to the individual needs of the student
The one on one attention allows students to make quick progress through the skill objectives. The private lessons are offered to students ages 5 and older.  
Note: There must be a minimum of six students for the class to make; the exception is the Minnows class where there must be a minimum of four students. If the class does not make, there is the option of private or semi-private lessons.

Minnows : Intro to Water Skills Help students feel comfortable in the water.

Angelfish: Fundamental Aquatics Skills Gives participants success with fundamental skills.

 

Enter water by jumping, exit water using side
Roll from front to back and back to front
Fully submerge & hold breath
Change direction of swimming
Unsupported front & back glides/floats
Tread water using arm & legs
Front crawl w/ breathing & back crawl
Finning arm action on back

Dolphins: Stroke Development Builds skills in level 2 through additional guided practice in deeper waters.

Introduce Diving
Introduce elementary backstroke
Front crawl w/rotary breathing
Scissor kicks
Back crawl
Introduce breast stroke
Front glide w/ dolphin kicks
Tread water

Sharks: Stroke Improvement Develops confidence in the skills learned & improves other aquatics skills.
